Membership Information

 Membership in WLP is open to persons licensed to practice law, judges, persons engaged as legal assistants, law office administrators, legal secretaries, stenographers, typists or clerks in any law office, any person employed in the courts, the trust department of banks or trust companies, abstracters and title companies, or any public or private institution or office directly engaged in work of a legal nature, including public offices of the U.S. government, state, cities, counties or municipalities.

Any person who is enrolled in a legal-oriented class may be elected to student membership in this association. An active member from another chapter or educators may be accepted as associate members of this chapter.

Because our association is a bi-level association, membership in KLPI is a prerequisite for membership in WLP. WLP annual dues are $25 for active members and are prorated on the same schedule as KLPI annual dues. Dues for student members are $15 and $10 for associate members. ($25 for May through September, $15 for October through December and $8 for January through April)

General meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month with the exceptions of July, August, November, December, and February. There is a summer break during the months of July and August, the November meeting is held on the third Wednesday due to the Thanksgiving holiday, December is reserved for our Christmas party, and Bosses Appreciation Night is held in lieu of a February meeting.
